JEditor 3.25.0/3.25.0a release notes

New features

  • We've added a new feature that detects and removes orphaned uploads — files located in the ck_upload_store directory (the JEditor file storage within the attachments directory) that are not linked to any inline images in Jira issue fields.
When the "Attach Uploads" and "Use Jira Links" settings are enabled, JEditor will automatically delete the associated uploads from the ck_upload_store directory.
  • A new advanced parameter called "Autodelete unnecessary files" has been added. When this parameter is enabled, if a user deletes an inline image that is linked to a file in JEditor storage, the associated file will also be deleted. Currently, this feature only applies to inline images found in comments.

Bug fixes

  • [Email This Issue] Resolved an issue in the JEditor API that occasionally caused the "Email This Issue" page to freeze.
  • Support has been added for the following HTML tags: <header>, <font>, and <footer>.
  • Resolved the issue where JEditor would initialize in non-service desk projects if the "Enable JEditor in all Agent Comment fields" parameter was enabled.
  • We have implemented optimizations for JEditor when handling large amounts of text (over 1MB), particularly when a significant portion of the data is stored in inline style attributes. This issue often arises when users copy content from applications like Word or Excel.
  • [JEditor for JSM] Fixed a bug that prevented user mentions in customer portals from rendering as links in the Jira issue view.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the dark mode background color in Jira to be copied along with text.
